Musket at the Ready Canvas Print

A British soldier at Fort Michilimackinac demonstrates the way to prepare to fire a musket. Standing in full uniform of a red wool coat, white shirt and pants and black hat, he holds a musket ball in one hand and a musket in the other. Fort Michilimackinac is located in Mackinaw City Michigan. The fort itself was known to house both British and French soldiers, but at different times during the Colonial period.
